Universal Music and Google’s You Tube joined together to launch Vevo in coming monthes. Vevo is an Online music video hub which provides higher-quality videos and a Professional Didoes and often user-generated videos on YouTube. Universal Music which is owned by French media group Vivendi will going to share advertising revenue generated by the site along with You Tube.
The idea is for Vevo to attract more big-name advertisers and other content owner partners and this deal will boost You Tube which has 100 million users in the U.S. alone according to comScore, and its relatively low advertising rate. Both sides are betting that building a premium site will help increase advertising rates.
