RBI is ready to issue new 10 rupee coin of India

RBI is ready to issue new 10 rupee coin of India , The obverse side has the lion capitol with numeral 10 and year of manufacture. On reverse side, a double line cross with a dot in each pellet of cross and denomination written in Hindi and English around.The ten rupee coin will have a diameter greater than that of the two rupee coin would be 8 gram and diameter would be 28 millimetres,” the source said. Coins in India are presently being issued in denominations of  50 paise, one rupee, two rupees and five rupees. The coins are being minted at mainly Noida and Mumbai mint. Rumors are also circulating that these 10 rupee coins are only a limited edition and are available in some auction websites.
