Twenty20 Cricket World Cup which is starting from June 5 will be telecast in 216 Countries around the world, ESPN Star Sports which is global broadcast partner for International Cricket Council has announced Twenty20 World Cup cricket to be held in June will be telecast in 216 countries. The inaugural Twenty20 World Cup in South Africa in 2007 was a huge success. The second edition of Twenty20 World Cup will be held in England.

Twenty2o cricket has created a younger fans all over the world, IPL 2 which was held in South Africa was huge success in a short format of the cricket and also it has entered the unexplored markets of China and America where there was no existence of the traditional five-day Test and One-dayers and also ICC is looking to cash in on the popularity and enter new markets like Russia with this year’s World Twenty20. The final match of India and Pakistan in Twenty2o cricket world cup 2007 has created a new Indian record when the TVR touched a peak of 15.2, a figure never achieved on Indian television.
