South Africa 130 for 5 (de Villiers 63) beat India 118 for 8 (Rohit 29, Botha 3-16, Steyn 2-25) by 12 runs.

South Africa wins the match against India by 12 runs in ICC T20 match at Trent Bridge and maintained their 100% record in the World Twenty20. India had already eliminated by world T20 but it was required a win for them. It was another impressive result for Graeme Smith’s side, and although their innings fluctuated on a slow surface they again showed their resilience.

South Africa had won the toss and decided to bat first but India had restricted them to 130 runs in 20 overs. AB de Villiers, who batted quite magnificently for a 51-ball 63 on a pitch where no other batsman excelled. India began well but South Africa’s slow bowlers rubbed salt and some spices into India’s gaping World Twenty20 wounds, defending a modest total of 130 with consummate ease. Sharma and Suresh Raina quickly departed in the space of six balls and skipper Mahendra Dhoni was run out and Botha made difference for South Africa by taking 3 wickets.

    I think this is the time to re-think on Dhoni’s captaincy,
    atleast they could have won the last match,
    131 is not a huge total, itz really very dissapointment for me:-(
