Roger Federer defeated Ivo Karlovic with 6-3 7-5 7-6(7-3) sets. Roger Federer moved into semi-finals of Wimbledon 2009 by defeating Ivo Karlovic and he will going to face 24th seed Tommy Haas in the semis on Friday who defeated fourth seed Novak Djokvic. The victory takes Federer into a 21st consecutive Grand Slam semi-final and keeps him on course to set a new record of 15 Grand Slam titles.

Roger Federer who has the won the Wimbledon for the five times is looking forward for the sixth Wimbledon title. He brilliantly dismissed Ivo Karlovic at the quarter-finals. Federer went into the match with an 8-1 record against the 6ft 10in 22nd seed and he proved far too good once again. Federer won the first set very comfortably but he struggled a little bit in 2nd and 3rd set. The third set was totally dominated by serve and came down to the tie-break that many had predicted for every set.
