Sri Lanka 232 for 9 (Mathews 43, Murali 32, Aamer 3-45) beat Pakistan  196 (Gul 33, Thushara 3-29, Kulasekara 2-30, Murali 2-46) by 36 runs

Sri Lanka wins the match against Pakistan in 1st ODI by 36 runs on Thursday 30th July at Dambulla. Pakistan which had won the toss elected to field first. Anjelo Mathews (43) and Kumar Sangakkara (36) top scored for the hosts to put a total of 232 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Razzaq and Aamer bowled really well and they shared five wickets between each other. Razzaq took wickets by giving just 33 runs in 10 overs and Aamer 3 wickets in his 10 overs spell.

Pakistan Start was not quite well they lost the early wickets and Pakistan had lost six wickets for just 95 runs in just 25 overs. Umar Gul (33) and Fawad Alam (31) were the only innings of note as Pakistan laboured in reply. Thilan Thushara did the damage for Sri Lanka finishing with 3-29.
