Serena Williams defeated Venus Williams in Sony Erricsson WTA Final on Sunday November 01 with 6-2 7-6 (7-4). Serena Williams won her second career WTA Championship title on Sunday by defeating her sister Venus Williams. Both the players were struggling from injuries, Serena Williams had heavy strapping on her left thigh, while Venus had heavy strapping on her left knee.

World number one Serena won all five matches at this event, including a group stage win over Venus and such was her dominance in the final. It was the second time in four days that the Williams sisters had played each other, but the final came up well short of Serena’s three-set win in the Maroon Group on Wednesday.
