Egypt takes on Nigeria in African Nations Cup Group C match on Tuesday January 12, 2010 at Estadio do Benguela. Defending champions Egypt are looking forward to win the match against Nigeria to top in the group C, but the Egypt team has become weak after missing their star players like Mido, Amr Zaki and Mohamed Aboutrika all absent from the squad. Zaki and Aboutrika are injured, while Mido failed to convince Egypt coach Hassan Shehata of his match fitness.

Nigeria defender Danny Shittu expects Egypt to provide a stern test after the Pharoahs failed to qualify for the World Cup in South Africa in the summer. Egypt do not appear as strong as in previous years, with Mido, Amr Zaki and Mohamed Aboutrika all absent.
