India 243 and 122 for 1 (Gambhir 47*, Sehwag 45) lead Bangladesh 242 (Mahmudullah 69, Mushfiqur 44, Zaheer 3-65) by 123 runs

Bangladesh have finished their 1st innings on day 3 by scoring 242 runs in 1st Test against India on Tuesday, January 19, 2010. India have started their 2nd innings on Day 3 with one run lead and they finished the day 3 by scoring 122 runs for the loss of one wicket and having lead of 123 runs. Gambhir batted well by scoring 47 runs and he was supported by Sehwag who got out after scoring 45 runs.

Mahmudullah batted well for Bangladesh by scoring 69 runs in the 1st innings but that was not enough to take lead against India on the third day at Chittagong. Zaheer bowled well for India by taking three wickets and he was supported by Amit Mishra who also took three wickets. Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim shared 108 to help the Tigers to 242, one run short of India’s first-innings total.
