India wins the 1st Test against Bangladesh by 113 runs on Day. India leads the series by 1-0 after defeating Bangladesh in the 1st Test. Mushfiqur Rahim batted well by scoring 101 runs for Bangladesh in the 2nd innings and he was supported by Tamim Iqbal who scored 52 runs to reach the score 301 runs in the 2nd innings.

Amith Mishra bowled well for India by taking four wickets and he was supported by Ishant Sharma who took three wickets. The hosts were reduced to 136-5 at lunch after Virender Sehwag dismissed Iqbal and Sharma claimed the wickets of Ashraful (27) and Hasan (13).
