Bangladesh have finished their first innings of 2nd Test against India by scoring 233 runs on Day 1 on Sunday January 24, 2010, at Mirpur. Brilliant bowling from India restricted Bangladesh for just 233 runs in the 1st innings of 2nd Test.  An impressive unbeaten 96 from Mahmudullah rescued the Bangladesh innings from utter ignominy but it was India‘s bowlers who dominated, dismissing Bangladesh for 233 in Dhaka.

Ishant Sharma (4-66) and Zaheer Khan (3-62) shared the opening wickets to restrict the home side to 44-4.  The last two wickets added 78, with Shafiul Islam defying India for 39 balls. In reply, Virender Sehwag was unbeaten on 41 as India closed on 69-0.
