Sri Lanka wins the Idea Tri-Nation Cup 2009/10 by defeating India in the Final ODI match by four wickets on Wednesday, January 13 at Dhaka. It was a superb come back form Sri Lanka after loosing the ODI series in India with winning the Idiea Cup on Wednesday. Poor batting from India and poor selection of shots from their top batsman allowed Sri Lanka to win the match. But Sri Lanka also bowled well to restrict India for 245 runs in the Final ODI.

Sri Lanka which had won the toss elected to field first and they restricted India to 245 runs, with the help of outstanding bowling from Kulasekara. He took four important wickets by giving 48 runs in 10 overs. Suresh Raina batted well for India by scoring 106 runs in 115 balls and he was supported by Sehwag(42) and Jadeja(38) to set a total of 245 runs in the final ODI against Sri Lanka.

In reply Sri Lanka start was not good as they lost first wicket without scoring any runs. Tharanga got out in the first over but a good partnership of 93 runs between Dilshan(49) and skipper Sangakkara(55) helped them defeat India at Final ODI. At the end Jayawardene‘s unbeaten 71 runs made them to win the Idea Tri-Nation Cup 2009/10 at Dhaka.
