Queensland wins the KFC Twenty20 Big Bash match against Western Australia by 37 runs on Saturday January 16 at Brisbane. Queensland moved into Preliminary Finals after defeating Western Australia on Saturday. A brilliant batting from Queensland skipper Simpson who scored 76 runs from 38 balls helped them to set a target of 203 runs for Western Australia. And Philipson finished the innings by scoring 46 runs from 28 balls.

In reply Western Australia scored only 166 runs with help of superb batting from Robinson who scored 51 runs from 40 runs and he was supported by Ronchi who scored unbeaten 34 runs from 27 balls. Hopes bowled well for Queensland by taking two important wickets. Queensland will host Victoria in the preliminary final this Tuesday for the right to play the Redbacks in the final next Saturday.
