Sri Lanka wins the 4th ODI match of Idea Tri-Series against Bangladesh by 9 wickets on Friday January 08, 2010 at Mirpur. Sri Lanka booked a place in the tri-series Final after defeating Bangladesh on Friday and Bangladesh are out of the tournament. A poor bowling performance from Bangladesh made them to loose the match against Sri Lanka even though they have scored huge total of 249 runs for the loss of seven wickets.

Sri Lanka which had won the toss elected field first and they restricted the Bangladesh to 249 runs. Raqibul Hasan(43) and Shakib Al Hasan(47) batted well for Bangladesh and Perera bowled well for Sri Lanka by taking two wickets. In reply, Upul Tharanga and Mahela Jayawardene shared 215 inside 38 overs, a Sri Lankan one-day record for the opening wicket against Bangladesh. Tharanga hit 18 fours in his unbeaten 118 as his team won with 43 balls left, their third win from three matches.
