New Zealand wins the 1st ODI match against Bangladesh by 146 runs on Friday, February 05, 2010 at Napier. New Zealand thrashed Bangladesh by 146 runs in the 1st ODI and also they had defeated Bangladesh in the T20 match also. A poor batting from Bangladesh made them to loose the match against New Zealand at Napier in the 1st ODI on Friday.

New Zealand which had won the toss elected to bat first and they set a target of 337 runs for Bangladesh to win the 1st ODI. Jocab Oram batted well by scoring 83 runs and he was supported by Broom by scoring 71 runs to help New Zealand to score 336 runs. In reply Bangladesh was able to score 190 runs by loosing all the wickets, only Tamim Iqbal batted well by scoring 62 runs. Vettori bowled well by taking three wickets and Guptill took two wickets by giving just 7 runs.
