Rafael Nadal wins the French Open 2010 by defeating Robin Soderling in the Finals by 6-4, 6-2, 6-4. And this was Nadal’s fifth French Open and also he reclaimed his number one ranking in the World. Nadal defeated Soderling in just 2hr 18 minutes in the French Open Finals and Soderling lost the match in three straight sets. Soderling who defeated Federer in the Quarter-Finals struggled more in the Finals against Nadal.

Nadal, 24, gained the vital break of serve in the fifth game of the first set when Soderling mistakenly left a ball he thought was going long. A double break in the fifth and seventh games of the second set moved him closer to a seemingly inevitable win.
