Venus Williams crashes out of Wimbledon 2010 after loosing the quarter-final match against Tsvetana Pironkova by 6-1, 6-3. Venus Williams the 2nd seeded and the five-time champion was stunned by Bulgaria’s Tsvetana Pironkova in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon on Tuesday. And she failed to reach final for the first time since 2006. The world number 82 Tsvetana Pironkova took an hour and 25 minutes to defeat Venus Williams.

The five-time champion was out of sorts and although she had two break points in the fifth game, Pironkova saved them and broke twice to win the first set. Williams saved two match points serving at 2-5 in the second set but Pironkova made no mistake on her own serve and sealed victory when a Williams forehand drifted wide. Court One was disappointingly only two-thirds full when the match started under grey skies.
