India which are at the no. 1 spot in ICC test ranking is going to face South Africa who are at 2nd place in the ICC Test Cricket. This series has been slated as the World Champions Cricket. To retain the top spot India needs to drew the series against South Africa which would entitle them to $175,000 and the coveted ICC Test Championship mace.

But Indian team has been hit by injury, as Rahul Dravid and Yuvraj Singh, both have been ruled out of the series due to injury. South African team is not suffering from injury and they have lined up with full strength squad for 1st Test at Nagpur. India should bat M Vijay, an opener by trade, at No. 3 and Badrinath at No. 6. That splits up the two inexperienced batsmen.
